[EDM] Felix Cartal – Worry (feat. Victoria Zaro)

Get ready to have your week brightened up because Felix Cartal is back with a new song in anticipation of his new album, NEXT SEASON, coming out May 4th. As Felix explains, “Worry” is about fighting through your internal struggles and knowing that it will get better. The song’s mellow, yet uplifting vibe meshes perfectly with Victoria Zaro’s incredible voice, making it a song that you can bump to at the club or listen to during a long car ride with your friends.

The style of “Worry” seems influenced by many of the best parts of electronic music, while also remaining unique in its own way. By far my favorite part of the song, however, is Felix’s manipulation of Victoria Zaro’s voice in the buildup and drop. He manages to use Zaro’s voice as an instrument that plays a crucial role in the drop, making the song the work of art that it is.

[Progressive House] Felix Cartal – Something To Live For (feat. Nikki Yanofsky)

Something To Live For (feat. Nikki Yanofsky)

Felix Cartal has already made himself one of the most well known producers in the house scene. He has countless records that have had fans roaring, and he’s back with another one in “Something To Live For.” Felix is not shy when it comes to grabbing vocalists for his works, and this time he enlists Nikki Yanofsky to bring her dazzling talent to the table. Felix keeps with his progressive taste with this original, whose sound is more radio-centric than festival centered. With that said, it still would make a killing in a big atmosphere at an event like TomorrowWorld. Although Felix hasn’t been this writer’s favorite producer in the whole world, he’s always someone who brings respectable tracks to the forefront time and time again. [Electro/Hip-Hop] K.Flay – Hail Mary (Feat. Danny Brown) (Prod. Felix Cartal)

Hail Mary (ft. Danny Brown)

It’s Monday, which probably means it’s now time to atone for some of your more inappropriate escapades from the past weekend. California femcee K.Flay recognizes that, although she’s not about to admit to being a sinner. Hoping to relive some of the memories she made (and presumably forgot), K.Flay pulls off a delicate balancing act between sultry vocals and provocative lyrics over some opaque and buzzing production from Felix Cartal. Meanwhile, Danny Brown continues on his recent rampage of absolutely murdering guest verses. By now, you should all be familiar with the Detroit spitter’s frenzied, and almost deranged style. While Danny definitely makes his presence known, he doesn’t take anything away from K.Flay, who certainly holds her own. If you’re interested in hearing more from the young female emcee, check out her recently released West Ghost tape. While this particular song isn’t a part of that project, you can still grab the free download below.
