[Trap] Grace – You Don’t Own Me Ft. G-Eazy (Candyland Remix)

You Don't Own Me Ft. G-Eazy (Candyland Remix)

Candyland hasn’t lost any steam since the two became one. Josie has kept up with solid productions, and entertaining crowds with live performances as though nothing has happened. Most recently, Candyland was tapped for an official remix of “You Don’t Own Me,” the single by Grace featuring G-Eazy. In a Facebook post about the remix, the Santa Barbara act stated that the two knocked the original out of the park, and we believe the same can be said for the remix. Candyland delivers a vocal driven edit that makes use of vocal chopping and modulating to create the melodic phrase after the drop. Prior to the climax, we get a thugged out version of the original that will have trap lords and queens bowing down for a long time to come. Continue reading

[Multi-Genre] Borgore – Keep It Sexy EP

The king behind Buygore Records, Borgore, brought his EP Keep It Sexy to the imprint on October 2nd. Packed inside the project are five singles, including collaborations with PRXZM, Getter, Dahn Farro, G-Eazy and Styles & Complete. As if the EP wasn’t enough, Borgore put together a music video for his single “Wanna Do,” and he’s currently on his headlining Buygore Show Tour, where you’re sure to hear his EP being played out.

Although Borgore wants to Keep It Sexy, he does get pretty dirty with this EP. Just take the first track “Forbes,” a bass driven trap record that will bring heavy hitters and hip-hop heads together. One of my favorite tracks, “Out Of My Mind” comes next with its classic dub sensibilities. The dirty house collaboration with Getter comes third bringing a trashy sound that you can’t resist. “Hella Lit” gets ratchet with its screeching synths for a festival trap record that will have both ladies and men going wild. Borgore closes things out with the hybrid styled “Wanna Do,” which is only available to stream via the music video. If you like what you hear, head over to iTunes to grab a copy of Keep It Sexy.

Hoodie Allen – Crew Cuts (Free Album Download + Stream)

After building up an enourmous amount of hype, releasing 2 official videos for tracks ‘Cake Boy‘ and his collaboration with Chiddy, Hoodie Allen finally releases his free mixtape Crew Cuts.

Crew Cuts is definitely his most diverse mixtape to do date, including features from Chiddy Bang, Chance The Rapper, Shwayze, G-Eazy, Skizzy Mars & OCD along with production from !llmind, Jared Evan, RJF and Sap. You can stream all the songs below as well as download the album in its entirety here.

With Crew Cuts, I had two big goals in mind—1. I wanted to challenge myself to try new things and work with new people. I have grown up a lot in this past year and I wanted the music to reflect those experiences. It is easy to “play it safe” as an artist, but I think in order for your fans to grow with you, you can’t be afraid to evolve and be better. 2. I wanted to collaborate with my amazingly talented friends and make a free project that sounds and feels like a debut album.
