Coming from the depths of Soundcloud to gain a respectable fan base is an insurmountable challenge for most producers. While all it takes is a single breakthrough production, it also requires a mix of luck and self-promotion in order to make waves and take off. This path to success has been replicated by the likes of Ryn Weaver, Khai, and Bryson Tiller. The 21 year old took over the blogosphere a month ago with “Octahate“, a debut single that was later revealed to be produced by Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, and Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos while being vaulted into the spotlight by Charli XCX. She returns today with “Promises”, a warm and upbeat smash hit that should carry you through the rest of summer.
