The Dutch production duo just put out their first track ever, and it’s pretty damn good. “Part Of Me” features Kareem‘s strong vocals mixed with a tropical dance vibe and melodies that will stick with you for a long time. The crafty synths are well put together, and are supported by a series of light strings in the drop. The transition from emotionally driven melody to an enchanting groove more than highlights this tune.

Talk about a throwback. “All Falls Down” has always been the favorite track of many Kanye fans. Listen as Instrum gives the Kanye classic the tropical treatment. The New York-based producer incorporates a trumpet melody into the mix without outshining the original vocals by Syleena Johnson. With tropical synth and a subtle bassline, this track is incredibly catchy and can capture the hearts of many. The acoustic guitar solo towards the end of the tune gives it an organic sound and brings out the authenticity of the track. With every element in its right place, you really can’t say no to this tune.

To our surprise, the combination of the two forces works wonders. Halsey’s vocals go perfectly with the joyful vibe driven by a tropical synth. We’re sure some of you have grown tired of listening to tropical music at this point, but then comes Life of Dillon, a band from London made up of Joe Griffith, Rob Griffith and David Keiffer, who released this track with a strong message and story behind them and are set to help further the tropical sound.

“Overload” is not your usual tropical tune. It possesses an authentic sound that gives off an organic and casual vibe. Because of the Griffith brothers’ background and growing up in Nigeria, they are no stranger to playing the instruments of this summertime genre. Incorporating live banjo and keys into the track, Life of Dillon makes it look so easy with this fun and joyful tune. The powerful vocals soar throughout the song, carrying a catchy melody and positive message. This song will work its magic into people’s hearts, and you just can’t help but smile after giving it a listen.

The formation of this band has come a long way, and we’re glad we were able to get a taste of this tropical goodness. Big ups to Life of Dillon and keep the good vibes coming!

In the midst of winter, here’s a tune that’ll help you reminisce the good ol’ summertime. Reworking Slow Skies‘ “Ice Field”, NY-based producer Thero has put out yet another classic remix for our hearing pleasure. Subtly speeding up the original track, Thero incorporates a series of tropical synth, including a xylophone melody that is both catchy and memorable. Don’t forget the killer sax line that comes in a little later that absolutely steals the spotlight. The vocals are kept to a minimal, which gives it a more organic feel. The overall feel of the tune is comparably more mature than his other work, while keeping it sexy and fresh. 2015 is going to be a big year for the tropical artist, so stay tuned in for more dope music coming your way!

Here’s a tune that will help you reminisce about summertime. “Let’s Love Baby” by Kulkid is a tropical fix sampling Marvin Gaye‘s “Let’s Get It On”. A new wave of tropical sound mixed with a tad bit of good ol’ Marvin helps create this pleasant tune. The synth is on point with the mood and vocals of the track. You can’t help but start singing and dancing to this ageless gem. The breakdown in the middle is almost a time for reflection of the wonderful memories you had. Following the release of his Noosa remix, Floridian producer Thero came out with a remix of this Wet’s tune titled “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl”. Looking to set off this tropical house craze even more, Thero is definitely one of the front runners in the genre.

The synths are consonant with the original song and they always bring a smile to your face. It’s so pleasurable to listen to, you can imagine it being used in a Donkey Kong video game, or played at a Hawaiian beach restaurant. Similar to most of his other mixes, Thero always seals the deal with that killer saxophone sample throughout the song and leaving you in infatuation. The bar is set pretty high in the revival movement of tropical music, soon enough he’ll be mentioned together with names like Kygo and Klingande. Needless to say, Thero is an exciting artist to watch for.
