Last weekend was just too crazy with Electric Forest and EDC going on. This weekend, round two of Electric Forest is here and we’ll be out in the wild if any of you readers will be there too! Whether you’re traveling to EF, anywhere else or just chilling in your own town, we’ve got music to take your weekend to the next level. It’s not February yet, but VALENTINE is what we have on our minds. Apparently, the same thing could be said for OWLSA, who backed the mysterious producer for an official remix of “In Stone” by BASECAMP.

One of the things we love about this one is it doesn’t exactly fit nicely into a specific genre. It’s sort of a few different things, but doesn’t really fit snug anywhere. Everything from the sound design to the song’s composition is done at an expert level. VALENTINE’s remix stylistically isn’t straightforward, but also the songwriting isn’t either, as the track develops from beginning to end without any moment of stale sound. It’s fresh, clean, and totally awesome. If you’re not familiar with VALENTINE, better get started now.

It’s Friday, so here we are with yet another Party Playlist for you. In our 216th edition we have thirteen free downloads for you to help get your weekend going. We start things off with a few laid-back tunes from creators like Nazariff, TastyTreat, and VALENTINE. Then, we move on to some more energetic records from Eliminate, Torro Torro, Goshfather and YOOKiE. We wanted this playlist to end on a heavy note, however Mark John’s new single had to be included, so she closes things out with her track “Before You” to end the night on a more relaxing note. Happy Valentine’s Day Ninjas. In the spirit of the season we’ve put together a playlist of some of the best romantic trap music we could find. Much like Dubstep, Trap as a genre already has more sub-genres than you can think of. One of these sub-genres that has been making some waves is Love Trap. This playlist is full of names you might already be familiar with like eSenTRIK and Hucci, while others are names you should definitely familiarize yourself with like Kastle and Kaytradana. The first half of the playlist moves through some trill, lyricly infused romance before the second half gets jazzy, using saxophones over the trap or juke beats.

Whether you’re spending this Valentine’s Day curled up with your sweetheart on a bear skin rug in front of a roaring fire sipping wine or drinking a whole bottle of vodka and eating a box of chocolate by yourself, this list of tunes are sure to get the romantic vibes going.
