[Hip-Hop] Slaughterhouse – Goodbye ft. Skylar Grey (Prod. Boi-1da)

With an all-star line up including Royce Da 5’9″, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I, Slaughterhouse is bringing its A-game once again. The Shady Records supergroup goes in over a hard-hitting piano with a melodic chorus by the beautiful Skylar Grey. Talking about their own experiences with death, each member (minus Royce) channels the angst that comes with losing someone. Each verse brings a new level of pain and this emotional ballad is sure to relive emotions evoking a certain empathy from the audience.

You can stream this somber single below and head to iTunes to cop if you are feeling it. With their album Welcome to: Our House releasing August 28th,  none of their songs should be slept on, and not just because they drew from their mentor Eminem.

[Freestyle] Slaughterhouse – Weight Scale

I Hate Pump It Up Though It’s My Only Hit…far from innocent, ya favorite rapper got a head nod/before he approaches check my temperament/I went sleepy hollow shit and got a CAT scan/go to Colorado right now and watch Batman.”

Even though Budden’s line of the Colorado shooting was a little premature, considering the incident happened less than a weekago, Slaughterhouse’s newly leaked single is a dope freestyle that shouldn’t be overlooked. Im not really one to brag or even get into freestyles but when this rap super-group dropped their new single “Weight Scale”, I couldn’t help but listen. After partnering with DJ Drama for the upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, the quartet(Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Royce da 5’9, and Crooked I) spit sick bars over the slept on Nas “Nasty” instrumental. Although filled with plenty of flossin’ rap for this party track but the rappers do the beat justice and go hard verse after verse. Their upcoming Shady Records debut album Welcome to: Our House drops August 28th.
