[Electronic] Balam Acab – Oh, Why

The mysterious sounding Balam Acab is in fact 20 year old Alec Koone, a small town boy from Pennsylvania. Not that you’d know it from his music. Balam Acab’s work is the stuff of beautiful nightmares: dark, ethereal and unnervingly addictive. Take ‘Oh, Why’, for example. A thrillingly cold slice of chillwave that sits up there with the frontrunners of the genre – Salem, oOoOO, How To Dress Well – in terms of its originality, power and an underlying thread of menace.
