Danish singer-songwriter Agnes Obel’s music is a beautiful balance of two opposites. Her new track ‘Brother Sparrow’ is filled with almost-overwhelming emotion from her Joni Mitchell-esque vocals, yet also with quiet restraint in the melodies. These have combined to create a soaring, glorious folk track that has the potential to push Obel into the spotlight, for once and for all.
