When you involve Amanda Palmer in a discussion, don’t expect her to sit at the back quietly. Coming up with the question: ‘how quickly could an artist record an album?’, she set to work. Getting husband Neil Gaiman, Ben Folds and Damian Kulash (of OK Go!) together to form 8in8, they recorded 6 tracks in 12 hours, working chaotically into the small hours. Now the finished album, ‘Nighty Night’ has been released to help raise funds for Berklee City Music Network. Highlight track is ‘One Tiny Thing’, a lo-fi ballad that tugs at the heartstrings and pulls the listener in deeper with its killer simplicity. ‘Nighty Night’ is available via Bandcamp.
