London-based act Still Corners have garnered praise for their recent live shows, including at indie heaven-on-earth, Shoreditch’s Field Day festival. Based on ‘Cuckoo’, it’s not hard to see why near-faultless label Subpop snapped them up. Featuring gorgeously hazy vocals and instrumentation that owes a slight debt to Slowdive, ‘Cuckoo’ casts a hypnotic spell over the listener, demanding further listening. Sure to be a tremendous success at festivals, Still Corners have got all everything they’ll need to take the underground by storm. ‘Cuckoo’ is featured on the forthcoming record, ‘Creatures Of An Hour’.
