Kid Cudi‘s sophomore album, entitled Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, is set for release on September 14th, 2010. If REVOFEV (short for Revolution of Evolution) is any indication, expect a solid album from top to bottom.

I was debating if i wanted to post the song bellow. I completely *hate* it. Nonetheless music is subjective and I like Kid Cudi so much I will give him the benefit of the doubt. What you guys think?

Looking at Erase Me from a pop music standpoint, it is very refreshing. Of course it is better than the other summer pop songs.

Erase Me is catchy as hell. REVOFEV, on the other hand, is absolutely boring.

Erase Me sounds like Kid has been listening to a little too much “So Much For the Afterglow,” except, I couldn’t really catch the melody … I think REVOFEV has staying power– liked it.

I agree with bigbass, it is a lot better than most of the radio pop songs on right now, maybe on par with B.O.B. You don’t have to be so pretentious as to completely disregard it because of that fact.

There is a hilarious parody video of Kanye’s new song Power on You Tube. Search for Kanye West Power by Tubbychubcakes to see it. No one man should have all that POOP!!

  15. [...] Summer just got brighter as KiD CuDi, Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast), and Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend) team up to create what bloggers are calling it this summers anthem. The song is a melting pot of all that is popular in indie music right now: chillwave dreamy melodies, rocky riffs, echoed elongated female vocals and the presence of Cudi’s genune careless attitude. An overdose of all indie elements that music bloggers fantasize about. Does it stand up to the hype?! Quite frankly, Yes, it really does. This delightful track is actually quite refreshing to listen and fans of Kid Cudi will find it easier to listen to as it just might erase the awful after taste of his collaboration with Kanye West.
