Jack’s back! Since releasing his second album ‘Everything Is New’ in 2009 we haven’t heard much from Jack Peñate, so this gorgeous new track comes as a bit of a surprise. Casting aside the perky indie-pop of his previous album, ‘No One Lied’ is a beautifully understated slow-song that perfectly highlights Jack’s soulful vocals. Nicolas Jaar – With Just One Glance

Minimal mastermind Nicolas Jaar dropped this sultry new track a few weeks ago but we’re just catching up with it now, thanks to Gorilla Vs Bear. Apparently we were all tucking into the mulled wine when we should have been keeping an eye on NPR’s favorite new artists of 2011 post.

With Just One Glance’ features the smoldering vocals of Scout LaRue, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter, and is everything you’d hope for from Nicolas Jaar; a mesmerizing, down-tempo jam that’s spacious, melodic and utterly intoxicating.

In light of the new year, Evan and I have decided to record a cover of one of our favorite Zombies songs, “This Will Be Our Year”. Thank you everyone for all of your support in 2011, and I hope this song helps motivate you to lose 5 pounds, stop smoking, and watch less reality T.V. (or is that just me?). Lots of exciting things are in the works this year, onward and upward!
