Pennsylvanian singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons has been around since 2005, but he’s still very much an underground hero, so we thought we’d introduce you to him. Having recently released yet another fantastic album ‘Gold In The Shadow’, Fitzsimmons and his particular brand of gorgeous folk seem ready to take the musical centre stage. The album features ghostly, feather-light tracks with angelic guitars that sweep the listener away to a folkie paradise. His duet with Julia Stone (of Angus & Julia Stone fame) on ‘Let You Break’ is a heartrending story, with incredible vocal performances from both. Other stand-out tracks ‘The Tide Pulls From The Moon’ and ‘Beautiful Girl’ are soft, quiet and utterly special songs that will melt the iciest of hearts.
