The four man band known as Does It Offend You, Yeah? hail out of the UK (London specifically) and have made a dent stateside on the electro/rock scene since their debut album came out in 2008 via EMI. Probably one of the more under-rated acts to come out of the last part of the decade, they are known for their high energy at shows and lyrics/track names with quirks and silliness at times (see “Attack Of The 60 ft. Lesbian Octopus”). Their sound, which can be compared to the likes of The Bravery, The Faint, LCD Soundsystem, Friendly Fires and The Black Kids with their hard hitting synths and often heavy (but never offensive) drumming just screams to be remixed and has been over the past two years by the likes of Station X, Cold Blank and Fear Of Tigers to name a few.

The Error Operator Remix of their latest single” We Are The Dead,” (which was released for free to their fans via doesitoffendyou.com last week) off their new upcoming album takes a different remix approach as opposed to what has been done by the likes of remixers/producers before them. Deconstructing the song by making it a lot more somber than the original gives this song a whole new feel. Whereas the original starts slow and stays high energy with their signature hard drums and synth throughout the last 3 minutes of the track, the remix maintains a more laid back vibe than the original. The addition of the downtempo beat gives this song a more of a chill and haunting vibe without completely overworking the song.

The haunting sound the remix gives the track works perfect for the title…We Are The Dead…
