When it comes to remixing classics, we have to be selective about the remixes that surface our newsfeeds because with a song like “Skinny Love”, we only want to present the best of the best. It must be a lucky day for all of you because we just found something for all you ninjas to go ape shit over. New York producer and groove master, Fareoh, put one of the glitchiest electronic spins on “Skinny Love” and turned it into pure gold.
As soon as you press play, you’re instantly welcomed with a choppy acoustic melody along with Birdy’s sensational whispy voice that effortlessly progresses into a glitch-hop, electro house, funky fresh breakdown to bring you those much needed Summer vibes. If this were being played at a festival, you bet you’d be hearing this during a Gramatik set at Lightning in a Bottle because there is no way the masters of electronic funk could let this one fall off the radar. Fareoh definitely just made a name for himself and his music with this one and we expect to be hearing this at every festival until the end of time. Not only did he kill it as a remix, but he just made it a timeless track to give us those nostalgic groovy feels whenever we please.
