Heart-Ships 'Pinhole of Light'

Lately we’ve been coming across a lot of cinematic music lately, and “Pinhole of Light” is no different. While this tune from Leeds based Heart-Ships has been out for some time (released on EP1), the video is of course premiering here today on The Music Ninja.

This guitar centric tune, filled with Nutall’s flawless looping hooks, is accentuated by seeing them performed live. Directed by Fionn McSherry of Bunker-London, the video is nothing more than a recording of Heart-Ships jamming out, which is absolutely perfect. Yes, we love a intriguing, artistic interpretation of a band’s sound, but this is actually exactly what is needed for this up and coming indie band. “Pinhole of Light” is supercharged with emotion that is projected by the larger-than-life tribal drumming, crystal clean guitar work, playful intermittent vocal exchanges, and intensely passionate narratives. It moves you, whether you want it to or not.
