Jack Conte is truly a musician of our times. His acoustic ‘Videosongs’ are slowly but surely becoming successes on YouTube, judging by ‘First Day Of My Life’, it’s not hard to see why. Taking Bright Eyes and Aphex Twin, two very different artists, and somehow combining them to make this wonderful track is incredibly hard, but Jack Conte makes it all sound so effortless. A brilliant song from an incredibly talented and hard-working up-and-comer.
