House Season 8 Episode 12 Chase Music Song Ending [Soundtrack] House Season 8 Episode 12 Chase ending song

House, the TV Show, is able to incorporate comedy, tragedy and all in between. On last nights episode, there was an incredible track that stood out. The song playing at the very last part of the episode was by English singer-songwriter Ben Howard titled “Promise”. An acoustic, soft and ultimately overwhelming with emotions track from his debut album Every Kingdom.

    This song kinda stopped me in my tracks. I had to take a moment and rewind that scene again. It’s refreshing to see that quality television still exists. And it is something…special…to see the actors portray honesty, conviction and without dialogue. But there is still plenty to work with. For example, notice how the camera tracks Chase as he begins to make his way down the hall- it is as if we, the viewer, are just over his shoulder. Like a thought. It is at that moment the adagio established by the acoustic guitar begins to crescendo- only to then blossom into the lyrics of the song.

    And now I know the song. And I’m pleased to have found it so easily on this site. So I thought since no one has commented, why not share my thoughts, and thanks.

      completely agree with you, the scenes that take place while the song is played get to your heart and make embody Chase,in a way!

    i watch tv as a fall asleep. i was about to drift off when i heard this song. i woke up, and listened to it multiple times before going back to sleep. this song was the best part of the episode.
