[Rock] Fall Out Boy – The Mighty Fall (Feat. Big Sean) + Save Rock and Roll Album Stream

’Fall Out Boy – The Mighty Fall (feat. Big Sean)’

Fall Out Boy is really looking to return with a bang in 2013. We’ve already seen one rap collaboration with the 2 Chainz remix to their hit single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” (we really need an acronym for that). For their latest act, The Chicago boys go for a Midwest hookup, recruiting Detroit’s Big Sean for a neat little verse. I honestly can’t get over the intro, where Sean interpolates his typical ad-libs with the band’s name, “Fall Out Boiii.” It seems like a perfect match to me.

In anticipation of the release of Save Rock and Roll on April 15, the band is providing a free advance stream of the album on their SoundCloud page. We’ve included some of our favorites below, but make sure to check out the full project before it drops next week.

My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) [2 Chainz Remix]

After starring in the original music video, and then teasing us with a performance during NBA All-Star Weekend, 2 Chainz and Fall Out Boy have finally agreed to unveil the remix to their comeback single. With the song’s new trapped-out vibe, Mr. Double Chainz feels right at home, as he closes things out with a nice little verse full of quotables near the end of the song. If you weren’t pumped up before, the remix will definitely get your blood rushing. Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album, Save Rock and Roll will be out on April 15th, but pre-orders are available now through iTunes.

[NEW] Fall Out Boy – My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)

2013 is shaping up to be the year of comebacks. With Destiny’s Child reuniting at the Super Bowl, and Justin Timberlake debuting some new songs live in New Orleans, 2013 is beginning to look more like 2003. In their roaring return, Fall Out Boy display that they’ve certainly matured during the years apart as they piece together an epic, riveting new single. It’s a definite shift in sound for Pete Wentz and crew. They represent that change in the accompanying visuals, where guest star 2 Chainz and a few friends symbolically burn down the group’s instruments and records. While some fans may miss the familiar sound of the past, this seems like a step in the right direction for the band. Fall Out Boy look poised to Save Rock and Roll, but we’ll have to wait until May 6th to find out if they succeed.
