The Trap Dojo is here with your weekly trap roundup of the best from all corners of the trap spectrum. From heavy dance beats and deep basslines, to booty-droppin’ Twerk shit and hardstyle breakdowns to smooth sexy Trill we have got the beats to help any trap-a-holic through another week without going into withdrawal. LOUDPVCK kicks things off wit a heavy, bouncy remix of Kill The Noise‘s aggressive body jumping track. anytime you see a lineup of artists involved in a track as deep as Daft Punk, NERD, Nero and finally Kennedy Jones putting his spin on it, the result can only be something incredible. Keys N Krates cranks up the emotion on Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont‘s “Safe With You” with pitched up vocals and a deep trap bassline. Crystalize ices out some deep bass wobbles for this trapped out remixes that gets a little hard by the final drop, but not nearly as hard as what Krewella, Kai Wachi, Bro Safari and UFO! have in store for you a little farther down the list. Fools Gold is back with another great hip-hop Mixtape, this time from Queens, NY collective Worlds Fair. After some great twerk, trap and everything in between from some of the heaviest hitters in the game, things get soulful with K-Treory, and with CRNKN unleashing his inner RnB Goddess. Kastle has released some of the smoothest Lovetrap songs I’ve ever heard, but for this one, Trill Scott Heron breaks out the iron and slows it down to make something even smoother and steamier and truly beautiful. If you thought that turning 50 would slow us down with providing your weekly fix of the best trap tunes, you were sorely mistaken. This week, D!RTY AUD!O and the guys to put on your watch list, Tropkillaz come through with one of the booty shakenest tunes of the week with “HAHAHA”. The twerktacular beats keep on coming with Spenda C on an original mid-track flip, along with Meaux Green, DMNDZ and K Theory dropping it down low. Next up, take a little trip across the pond for some of the hardest music coming out of the UK right now. You may not recognize the name I AM LEGION, but if you’ve never heard of Noisia and Foreign Beggars you need to catch up of your bass music fam. This track from the new side project is Noisia’s first foray into trap, and they are able to hang onto their signature heavy sound and with the Beggars’ sharp lyrics, this is one not to be missed. Not satisfied with only one beggars track, I just had to include this hard trapstyle remix from the one and only ETC!ETC!. Tigerblood rounds out our journey to England with some dark spacey beats from their new Celestial EP. Luminox brings us back with some of his killer style of trap, and a couple of my favorite gLAdiator tracks get the VIP treatment. Next up, Psychic Type does what he does best turning the 8-bit soundtrack to everyone’s favorite Gameboy game into hard hitting nostalgia-inducing trap beats. Valentino Khan, Louisiana Jones, OG Status, Watapachi and a few others keep showing us how the trap is properly run to round out the list. Huglife, with his smooth style of lovetrap remixes also just couldn’t be left out, and his remix of Lana Del Ray‘s “Young and Beautiful” close it out.

The Trap Dojo #37 + [TMN Premiere] Wild Belle – Keep You (Team Bayside High Premiere

I’m sure if you’re a regular Trap Dojo listener the name Team Bayside High is familiar, and this week, we’re very stoked to be bringing you the premiere of their brand new remix of Chicago indie rockers Wild Belle’s new single “Keep You”. This remix keeps some of Wild Belle’s soulful lyrics but packs it full of heavy hitting bass along with the deep horns of the original. Watch out for the second drop with a high spacey riff that will definitely have you coming back again and again. Team Bayside High has been all over the map with the material that they choose to remix and have yet to disappoint. They also released an original tune this week called “Gold Heart” that’s featured later on the list, proving that they can craft their own tunes just as well as they can remix. You probably heard the new Knife Party EP Haunted House, and next up CRNKN turns the song “LRAD” into a huge hard-hitting trap machine. Not much needs to be said about this next track other than its an RL Grime remix of “Love Sosa” by Chief Keef. Last week we included the original version of this Yellow Claw track, and now the homies Watapachi turn it up to 11. Flosstradamus samples all those great lines about asses from “Mercy” for this booty-dropping anthem, with enough bass that would really feel like an “Assquake” when played on the right system. Next up is an awesome Justin Timberlake remix from Ricky Vaughn. This is the third JT remix he’s released and the third one to really impress me, and he’s said that he has more on the way. Next up we’ve got a bunch of Hip-Hop and Grime infused Trap before getting back to the more electronic side with J.Rabbit, Big Chocolate, Carnage, Dan Farber and more. The last few songs really cool things down and the list ends with an amazing remix of the classic tune “Smoke Rings (Where Do They Go)” perfect for a lazy summer evening.

Last week we included the newest tune from TNGHT, “Acrylics”. A massive tune in its own right, but this week, DonKong had a fever, for which the only cure was more cowbell and absolutely turned it up in this remix. Next, the newest dancefloor anthem from Macklemore gets a huge trap twist from Dance Floor Junkies. With a brainmelting drop filled with lazers and horns, this is sure to keep everybody’s hands up and get all of the party people sweating. A new song from Flosstradamus is always something to get us excited, and this 4/20 special is no exception. The first of many smokers anthems we’re bringing you this week, this FKi collab is just as hazy as you would expect, with killer lyrics. TastyTreat also released an awesome 4/20 banger using Christina Milan and Lil Wayne‘s lyrics and chopping them up with some finely crafted synths for an emotionally charged dancefloor beast. Lil Wayne isn’t going away yet though as Sam F Brings us another hectic remix. Rihanna gets a trip to the trap by The Cataracts & Borgeous. The rest of the list is filled with bangers, with every influence from the most gangster of rap to progressive house and hardstyle. Zombass & Huoratron get very dark and occultist at the end before some deep night time vibes take over to finish it off.

Welcome to the first Trap Dojo on the revamped site. Our first track is an incredibly sexy remix of Frank Ocean‘s “Super Rich Kids”. Bird Peterson makes this song smoother than the cocoa butter you`ll be spreading on your girls back while listening to it (or visa versa). Next, Mr. Vega hits us with a ton of sharp bars from several different rappers on this vocal remix of his track “I’m Livin”. ETC. ETC. and Brillz bring you back to late 80s Harlem with their own take on the New Jack Swing. This is a track you can definitely do the (real) Harlem Shake to. If you aren’t familiar with Rustie then take note. This Scottish DJ has been huge in the UK Dubstep and Grime scene since back in 07, and this track is absolutely infectious. With this remix of Chief Keef‘s “I Don’t Like”, Willy Joy shows how he’s able to turn a hard hitting rap anthem into a dance floor banger, switching back and forth between the original instrumentals and his crazy remix, this time with a hype Moombah flip. The end of the list contains a great lovetrap mashup from Watapachi with some smooth lyrics from 50 Cent, some Keys N Krates, a trio of musicians who actually perform their songs live, a real treat in the modern EDM age, and some Future Screw, from the master of Future Screw, Trill Scott Heron.

This weeks Dojo starts off with the most established new names in Trap music. Huglife, who was formerly known as Dj Slink was forced to change his name when a conflict with DJ Sliink ultimately resulted in Slinks Soundcloud page being deleted and losing over 7000 fans. After changing his name to Huglife he is back with a vengeance with this huge remix of Dada Life‘s banger “Kick Out the Epic Motherfucker”. Be sure to hit up his new Soundcloud page and show him some support. The Tokyo homies Watapachi have been making some pretty serious moves lately and one of them is this huge original track “Let’s Get Ratchet”. While it might not be the perfect track to tear up a dancefloor, if you are pregaming on your way to the club, this is definitely the one to play. Speaking of Japan, this next track, a remix by Ken Takahiko is absolutely crazy. While you probably won’t understand the lyrics, “Gangnam Style” proved that doesnt matter so get up and horse dance to this insane remix. Party Favor released this track that proves its possible to floss on a $20 budget. Shopping at a thrift store or wearing your grandparents was never this trill. You probably saw the post about Datsiks Trap VIP remixes, but this one deserves to be mentioned again. “Bonafide Hustler” was just begging for a trap remix, and who better to do it than the man himself. After listening to this version, I can’t even remember what it ever sounded like in the first place. As usual, you’ll hear plenty from familiar names like D!RTY AUD!O and some that you’ve probably never heard before, before Kid Womp slows it down with some love trap to finish off this week

Whether you have suffered from Sandy’s wrath, or simply trying to get through another week of work, begging for the weekend to get here sooner, The Trap Dojo is coming through every Tuesday to try and brighten up your week with the biggest and best trap tunes we can find. Because Halloween is coming up tomorrow, this week starts with a couple tracks perfect to get you in the mood. Bro Safari teams up with none other than DJ Craze who scratches the hell out of this track, while ETC!ETC! gives the theme song from Child’s Play a very creepy trap flip. If you’re familiar with The Trap Dojo, then you must be familiar with Ookay who has been a regular figure from the start. This week he partners with the Japanese homies Watapachi to remix the legendary FatBoy Slim‘s “Star 69” into an absolute banger. LOUDPVCK released a new EP this week and this track, “Dolly Parton” is probably my favorite, with a catchy vocal hook, and deep drums and jungle flair. KTheory takes a hint from trapstyle gods Flosstradamus and samples himself some hardstyle and absolutely destroys this track. If absolutely filthy lyrics are your thing, Danny Brown‘s “Witit” will be sure not to disappoint. Brown does exactly what he does best and spits lyrics so nasty they could make even a hooker blush. While this song is a bit older, he just released a video for it this week, so be sure to check it out. With trap music taking over the scene, moombahton has not been getting the press it deserves lately, so to fix that Kaptain brings us a sick moombah track, which flips into some grimey trap later on. If Grandtheft really is as cocky as this track suggests, it’s probably well deserved after kicking out this banger, immediately after working with Diplo on the remix of “Sweet Nothing” by Calvin Harris last week. I usually try and finish of the Dojo with an example of the softer side of Trap and Ookay hits the mark this week with a melodic and soothing remix of “Clarity” by Zedd. While not quite as chill as other similar tracks, this one is filled with soulful emotion, and easily earns the final spot on this list.
