It’s been a long two weeks off. Yeah, we’ve been blogging here and there, but for the most part, we’ve been spending our days with family, friends, booze and video games. While it’s been a good run, we’re ready to hustle again, and Halogen is making damn sure we have some fresh tunes to kick 2015 off with.
Hotlanta based DJ/Producer duo Halogen have pulled a new rabbit out of their hat, surprising everyone with a lively house interpretation of Basement Jaxx’s “Never Say Never.” Long gone are the razor sharp synths and devastating drops we’ve become accustomed to, and in their places are smooth-as-silk vibes perfect for the Monday afternoon grind.
While we’ve never been averse to electro house, it’s a welcome change to hear some calmer sounds coming from this up-and-coming outfit. Let’s face it – electro house is great when you’re raging at 12:00AM on a Friday night, but vibey house tunes can be enjoyed all week long. And that’s exactly what we plan to do with this gem.
