Keep Your Mouth For Lying (cln Remix)
The science of physics and chemistry teaches that the liberation of energy comes in both thermal and nuclear forms, and perhaps many others had I paid more attention in class. Yet, nothing is more equipped at transforming the little bit of kinetic energy left after along ass day than the exothermic properties of listening to music. The already exquisitely relaxing track “Keep Your Mouth For Lying” by Australian electronic trio Crooked Colours has now been rebranded as a bedroom lullaby by Callan Alexander, better known as, cln.
Not to take away from the efforts of cln, who in this project is blessed to work with the controlled and emotionally rooted vocals of frontman Philip Slabber, but it is Slabber’s ability to induce empathy that gives the track such resonance. Between welcome vocal loops and stripped instrumentals, the Aussie producer captures a side to the track, that if we take out its inherent scientific factor, can only be described as heavenly.
