GRiZ, the 22-year-old Michigan born producer has been on a tear the last few months, dropping massive tracks left and right. GRiZ just released the latest single, “Smash The Funk,” which will be on his forthcoming album Mad Liberation. “Smash The Funk” is a groovy electro-soul banger which is eerily reminescient of something one would expect to hear from the Pretty Lights Music Label. The tune begins with a down-tempo funk feel, which builds beautifully until GRiZ unleashes a thunderous crunchy bassline. The song also features extraordinary saxophone work, highlighting how multi-faceted of an artist GRiZ truly is.
