With one listen through this hazy, sonic rock inspired tune, you might be guessing that Family Friends hail from Seattle. While do have that psych-heavy vibe that’s so often associated with the Pacific Northwest, you’re incorrect in your assumptions. This brother/sister duo actually are from Australia originally and are now posted up in East London.
Taken from their debut EP, Across The Water, “On Your Mind” radiates with an ideal vibe for a rainy drive. Accompanied by a music video (releasing later this month), this tune should quickly grow on listeners who lean towards the older style of musical production. The two siblings have a growing obsession with old school equipment and recording methods, all which perfectly compliment their erratic collection of influences.
