Sometimes days at the dojo can be a little time consuming. Constantly caught up with our day to day activities of ninja star practice, slinking around in the prone position, and learning the perfect way to extract precious artifacts from other clan’s dojos, we sometimes miss out on something special. While we as ninjas are proud, we’re also humble. We missed the boat on this one, and for that, we apologize.
Coming out of Miami, FL Brika carries a swagger that is undeniable. Signed to Art House Records, she encourages you to sell your clothes and keep your thoughts, which is a mindset that we’re can’t admire enough, especially given the current state of pop culture.
“Expectations,” is an alt-soul tune, simplistic yet powerful in nature. With only a future-bass style backdrop, comprised of a booming bassline, a dark melody, and Brika’s god-given talents, we’re left speechless.
While we’re sad we haven’t been enjoying this for the full two months it’s been out, we’re sure as hell glad we finally stumbled across it.
