FRANK LEONE
HUFFING PAINT

Illinois native Frank Leone has been on our radar for quite awhile now, but he’s been on a bit of a hiatus lately, finally returning with his first single in over a year in “Huffing Paint”. Don’t let the charming melodies fool you though, as this isn’t an entirely joyous occasion. Premiered last week by Zane Lowe, this brand new track finds Frank mourning the loss of his close friend Westley Banks who unfortunately took his life last spring. Over a sparse instrumental mixed with subtle bass, a reflective Frank walks us through his coping process before flexing his beautiful vocal chops to close out the song.

You can listen to the bittersweet tribute above, but we highly suggest checking out the awesome pixelated visuals below as well. If you can relate to this tune and feel like adding it to your library, make sure to follow Frank on your streaming platform of choice. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait quite as long for the next release from the talented young artist.
