In other news, yesterday afternoon the British electro-soul singer Ware (who we have covered here a number of times, see: “Sweet Talk,” “Wildest Moments“) sold out her first New York City concert in 10 MINUTES. I nearly threw a mini-tantrum in the pizzeria that I was at when I first heard the news. BUT, I feel a lot better this morning because she’s announced more US dates. The tour will be in support of her 110% EP, to be released in December by Cherrytree Records, her new stateside label. She’s generated a tremendous buzz since her debut LP Devotion came out in August. We’re talking Vogue, New York Times, SPIN, etc., so these shows will probably sell out.
