Animals (Oliver Heldens Remix) [Out Now]
We’ve been tracking Oliver Heldens as of late. After writing up the deliciously tech-centric tune “Gecko,” we’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of his “Animals” remix.
The tune is a far departure from the intense hard house track that captivated the EDM world just last year. While we normally tend to like remixes that pay more homage to the original, we’re actually pleased that this is maintains less elements of Martin’s monster track.
With a funky bassline, this house remix has a dialed down nature by comparison, yet still has a gorgeous, driving intensity that makes you want to get up and dance. In fact, we’ve been dancing the entire time we’ve been writing this up. It’s taken us much longer to complete the post than it normally does. We’re not mad about it though. Not one bit.
