Like a finely aged wine, this remake on Marvin Gaye’s legendary “Grapevine,” is oh so smooth. You might be shaking your head at that analogy, but we had a reason to use it. After reading Autograf’s sole tag on their Soundcloud for this particular track, we knew we had to throw it in somehow.
The use of Marvin Gaye’s vocals seem to fit perfectly with the sultry tempo and deep house beats. The samples are well crafted, and lightly used throughout, creating a simplistic remix. Coupled with Taiko drums layered on a natural drum kit sample, this tune has a soulful tribal feel that we just can’t get enough of.
