Combining an electro pop star and an American/New Zealand rock band doesn’t quite seem like a good fit, which is exactly what I thought when I saw that Unknown Mortal Orchestra (UMO) remix’d Sky Ferreira‘s bouncy swooner “Everything Is Embarrassing.” But let it be known that I stand corrected. UMO put their own touch on the track by lining it with some funky bass and adding on a bit of a fuzzy, psych-rock sheen. It’s pretty darn good. Check it out below:
