With the deluxe edition of Flume‘s debut album set to drop next week, we get the privilege of hearing the accompanying rap mixtape in its entirety in advance of its release. The Australian DJ brings his A-game here, recruiting such names as Ghostface Killah, Killer Mike, Twin Shadow, M.O.P., and Autre Ne Veut, among others. This is definitely more than just a side project for the young producer, and it certainly shows in the quality of material presented in the project. Some of our favorites include “Insane (Feat. Killer Mike & Moon Holiday)” and “Sleepless (Feat. Twin Shadow & Jezzabell Doran),” but all the tracks are pretty excellent.
