Laid back trap, those words don’t necessarily go together in the same sentence. But that is exactly how I would describe the new song “Locomotive” out by Vinnie Maniscalco and Treyy G, two Denver natives who like to take a spin on the classic trap. This song is tamer than most trap song but that is not a bad thing at all. These two talented producers take some basic drum and electronic sounds and mix the two to incorporate “Locomotive” which does remind me of the sound of a train rolling down the trap train tracks, wheels clicking, horns blowing, metal hitting metal. This song is perfect to add to those road trip playlists for the summer.
