If you’ve been following Common‘s rap career since its very inception, you would probably agree that it’s pretty easy for him to claim that he’s no sell-out (although his acting career might provide some room for argument there). All kidding aside, this previously unreleased collaboration between Common and his right hand-man No I.D. is truly a gem. This reportedly didn’t make it onto 2011’s excellent, The Dreamer/The Believer album, leaving us wondering what other great tracks got left on the cutting room floor. Maybe we’ll get those on a mixtape someday, but one can only hope. Until then, keep this on repeat and ponder about what other classics this duo may have produced together.
