It’s difficult for me to turn down anything related to Nas, so as soon as I saw this remix of Rudimental‘s “Free,” I knew I had to give it a listen. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the Emeli Sandé assisted track was already pretty spectacular to begin with. Bringing in Nasty Nas adds some hip-hop flair to The UK duo’s uplifting single, that’s all about taking life for what it is, and then tossing aside those cares to live life to the fullest without any restrictions. Check out the inspiring tune above, and make sure to grab the “Free” remix package when it drops on November 18, which will also include reworks from Jack Beats, Maya Jane Coles, and Roy Davis Jr.

British songstress Emeli Sandé has been steadily making her way into the American market. After teaming up with Kendrick Lamar for the remix of “Next To Me,” Sandé collaborates with another TDE member, Ab-Soul, on the remix for “My Kind of Love.” Her unique voice and talent for penning quality lyrics still shine through on the re-worked beat of the charting single from her debut album, Our Version of Events. The Black Hippy emcee also delivers some words spoken straight from the heart. No news on whether this will be part of a full length compilation, but take a listen to the single above.

After spending some time behind the scenes, Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande has been making her name in the mainstream industry with her critically debut Our Version of Events. Now crossing over into international success, she pairs with Compton rap-star Kendrick Lamar for the US release/remix to “Next to Me”. Although a powerful ballad before, the addition of the aggressive and gritty two verses from the West coast emcee make for an interesting R&B/Hip-Hop collaboration. Hopefully this mix will warrant a lot of new buzz for the overseas star. Take a listen below.
