Jessie Ware – Wildest Moments (Remix) (ft A$AP Rocky)

Jessie Ware
Wildest Moments (Remix) (ft A$AP Rocky)

For all the US-based Jessie Ware fans, let us rejoice! The UK electro-soul songstress will finally release her excellent debut, Devotion, for us on April 16th (it dropped months ago almost everywhere else). We’ve had to anxiously wait like impatient children for this, but at least the stateside version includes two new tracks. We’ve heard one of them, the uptempo house track “Imagine It Was Us”, and here’s the second: a remix of “Wildest Moments” featuring none other than A$AP Rocky. The rework features some rather low key verses from the emcee, which is fine with us, seeing as the original was near-perfect on its own. Listen in via the video or mp3 stream.

Building on the eleven track UK release, the US edition contains an additional four songs, including a reworked “Wildest Moments” feat. [Electro Soul] Jessie Ware & BenZel – If You Love Me (Video)

Last month, teenage Japanese duo BenZel teamed up with British powerhouse Jessie Ware for “If You Love Me,” an inspiring track done originally by R&B group Brownstone in the early ’90s. A lava lamp-like video directed by Kate Moross was released at the same time as the song, but recently an official music video has surfaced. Set in New York City, it depicts a woman showing off her pole-dancing moves in an empty subway car.

Jessie Ware – Running (Disclosure VIP Remix)

UK producer duo Disclosure reworked “Running” back in February, but during a set on Boiler Room TV just the other night, they unleashed an even more ravaging, fierce VIP remix of the Jessie Ware track. How intense was it? Well, let’s just say that hours after it aired, it was ripped onto YouTube and spread like internet wildfire — despite the numerous attempts, as you’ll hear below, to deter folks from doing just that. The intermittent talking over the track might be a tad distracting, but I promise it’s well worth the listen.

[Soul] Jessie Ware & BenZel – If You Love Me

I tend to get a little carried away with my Jessie Ware posts, so I’ll try and keep it short here. The British soul singer collaborated with young Japanese duo BenZel to cover “If You Love Me,” a ’90s hit by R&B group Brownstone. It’s a melancholy, heart-is-tearing-at-the-seams kind of track, and as usual, Ware conveys vulnerability beautifully as she pleads for her significant other to show how much he really cares. The song’s emotional robustness especially shines during the chorus as a choir sings out, as though from the mountaintops: “Say it! Do it! Show it! Prove it!”

The video above was directed by Kate Moross, who had previously worked on Ware’s “Wildest Moment” visuals. Stream & download the track below:
