If you want a song that will blow out your eardrums while you’re in the club at 2 am, stick to Swedish House Mafia. If you want a song to listen to while chilling out with friends at your house or trying to seduce someone at your house, “Like I Do” is your track.
Star Slinger is a producer from the UK and is all over the blogs right now because of his fresh sounding work that he has put out including the most recent Rogue Cho Pa EP.
He does an amazing job at sampling from songs that are not incredibly obvious (mostly because they seem to be from the 60’s) making the tracks unique and quite groovy. “Like I Do” is a great example of his new work and a track that I am diggin just as much as his moniker.
Electronic trifecta PUNCHES said on their Myspace page that they want their music to “get you moving” and that’s exactly what they did with this happy remix. They took the the alternative rock song ‘Favorite Coulour’ from Tokyo Police Club’s latest album and added some nice piano work and a danceable beat to make a fresh sound with a good vibe. This is a perfect track for your road trip playlist or to blast while you are getting ready to go out on Saturday night.
Kill Them With Colour has been remixing some pretty big songs lately and now they have taken on the King of Pop. They have not been releasing their mixes to the masses for too long but are making some impact lately and this remix of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” is one of the reasons why. They have added whole other layer of badass to this song that I know you will all enjoy as much as I do.
Diplo has a certain way of tearing up each song and putting it back together with some thick bass lines that make every one of his mixes completely original and amazing. Taking out the girlie pop feel of the song and adding some sex appeal makes this one of my favorites for some time now. Enjoy it again and again.
Bonus new song straight from Mad Decents own blog, “Diplo takes over The Streets turning their new single “Going Through Hell” into a dubstep banger. Download it for free below and make sure to grab the official release when it comes out Feb. 7th.”
I have to give some serious credit to the remix artist of this track, Prime. I was not that interested in listening to a remix of the Bloodhound Gang’s ridulously catchy and corny song, “The Bad Touch” but Prime turned it into an insanely addictive dubstep mix! Prime has a sense of humor (he also remixed the “Muffin Man”) and a gritty dubstep style that make this UK producer someone I want to see more tracks from ASAP!
Hurts is a synth pop duo in the UK that currently has people falling in love with their retro feeling power ballads and melodramatic lyrics. This band, who is part of the Sony Music UK music label, released their third single “Stay”, and the Millions Like Us trio got their hands on it. Millions Like Us kept the Hurts vocals intact and added a lighter dubstep style to make the song even more haunting than the original version.

Nadia Ali just released the second part of her Queen of Clubs Trilogy which includes her best material from over the years, all remixed. This Avicii New Generation remix of Rapture is the first track on the album and easily the best track on the album. We all have heard the original version of Rapture about a million times since it came out in 2001 and now, Avicii has gone back to remix this huge dance hit. He keeps the sultry voice of Nadia Ali at the forefront of this song but then adds a sleek house feel to this track and turns it into something that sounds completely fresh and new. Avicii can do no wrong in my eyes and this remix is no exception.
