[Event Preview] Life and Death – Miami – 12/4

Life and Death Records will be showcasing their biggest and brightest this Thursday for another coup d’état of Miami Art Basel. Last year this label had the masses clamoring for tickets at the door of the now defunct Vagabond. If you are in, or anywhere close to Miami…you CANNOT miss this show. Mind Against, Thugfucker, Vaal, hell even the label’s founder DJ Tennis (Manfredi Romano), will be there.

Accompanying the aforementioned madmen of deep house will be the likes of Innervisions’ Dixon. World renowned, yet seldom recorded, these performers will be an experience unlike any other, and one that few in the United States have the privilege of witnessing. [House] Andrew Bayer – Bullet Catch

Andrew Bayer
Bullet Catch

Andrew Bayer is at it again, and ohhh boy is he frisky! The traditional depth and progressive ambiance that Mr. Bayer portrays in his tracks is augmented this time around with some dirty electro bass and a sexy wobble. Despite the piano interim, which the producer states will exclude it from a classification of “banger”, I disagree. Bullet Catch has everything required to be a stand up summer track for 2014. A bit of esoteric distension that’ll make you cry, a little dab of some roll juice to enjoy a hand with blinking LEDs, and a drop to get a crowd jumping like they’re in Dadaland make this a tune that’s a memorable jump off to any respectable dance party. Enjoy!
