The evolution of Electronic Dance Music does not cease to stop. With every passing year, more subgenres are being invented (and combined), and many more have grown into giants, forcing the world to take notice. We are honored today to give you the top 5 tracks of 2011 by none other than one of the main beneficiaries of 2011, Porter Robinson. Becoming a household name in just a few week is no easy task, but Porter made it look easy bringing us top chart bangers, release after release. His first single, ‘Say My Name’ landed at #1 for weeks in the Electro-house charts on Beatport. And soon after being signed to OWSLA (Skrillex’ Label) his first EP, Spitfire, went straight to the top on the iTunes dance charts.

Needless to say, the nineteen year old American producer is a man of many talents but seeing him play a life show, will only solidify your love for him. Thanks to this blog we have been fortunate to experience many festivals and shows but the energy and eclecticism that emanate from a Porter Robinson set is far superior from even the bigger names in the scene. Seriously. You will hear a little bit of everything, from electro house, moombahton and dubstep all the while perfectly mixed into a high energy crowd pleasing set. It is this very reason we are especially excited today to have Porter Robinson’s top 5 favorite tracks of 2011. So lets jump right to it:
