Even though Miami couldn’t stand the heat during the first game of the NBA Finals, MMG’s bawse Rick Ross still shows his support for his home team on the new track “Finals 2.” The D. Rich turnt-up single finds Ross bringing together an all-star line-up of emcees to show off their support and lyrical skills on the mic as a sequel to the 2011 single, “Finals” featuring Meek Mill. Bringing together Wale, Gunplay, Fat Trel, Rockie Fresh, Tracy T and French Montana, this track finds each artist lacing the knocking, street beat with their own personal style of delivery. Although some rappers stand out more than others, each offers their own unique dose of fandom and braggadocios rhymes. Take a listen to the new tune, and be sure to stay tuned to hear more new music unveiled during the Finals.

Just as the year ticks down to an end, the good music keeps on flowing. After several leaks and teasers, the joint effort from young emcees Casey Veggies and Rockie Fresh finally arrives for our listening enjoyment. The Puma-sponsored mixtape Fresh Veggies is a 10 track effort with all original material. It’s a tasty treat for music fans of the Chitown and LA representatives that features guest spots from Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, and Hit-Boy, as well as production from Lunice and Holladay. After dropping the rim rattling “Superman OG” last week, Rockie Fresh decides to ease his foot off the gas pedal as he continues to take us on a ride down the Electric Highway. With MMG boss Rick Ross in tow, along with West Coaster Nipsey Hussle, Rockie Fresh takes some time to reflect on the finer things in life along with the plans he has to prolong that lavish lifestyle. While “Superman OG” might be what you’d listen to pump yourself up on your way to a party, “Life Long” is the cool down song you’d find yourself playing on your way back home. We’re hoping for some more quality music from the young Chicagoan when his Electric Highway mixtape drops on January 21.

Young Chicago-based emcee and recent Maybach Music Group signee, Rockie Fresh, has been a rising star in the game for several years now. Today, we get a glimpse into his much anticipated debut studio album with an awesome single featuring the always dope Lunice, of the EDM trap duo TNGHT. On “Superman OG,” Lunice cultivates an absolutely huge sound with epic vocal samples backed by heavy 808s and snares over which Rockie spits some bravado-filled bars.

“Superman OG” exemplifies the synergy between EDM trap and hip-hop, two deeply intertwined genres. Stream this gem of a single below and look out for Rockie Fresh’s Electric Highway, due out January 21st.

Just like they did with Closed Sessions Vol. 1, SoundScape Studios teams up with RubyHornet.com to provide us with some sweet unreleased music recorded in their Chicago studios. The project includes local artists like Sir Michael Rocks, GLC, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, and Rockie Fresh, as well as some other prominent names like Raekwon, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, Blu, CyHi The Prynce and many many more. With phenomenal production provided by DJ Babu, Thelonius Martin, and a few others, this is definitely the perfect hip-hop project to wind down the last days of summer. [Hip-Hop] Sir Michael Rocks – Can’t Hide It (ft. Rockie Fresh)

Sir Michael Rocks, a recent addition to Jet Life Recordings, teams up with fellow Chi-town native Rockie Fresh for the second single off his upcoming solo album. Sir Michael displays some of his high-energy, creative rhymes over an instrumental driven by classic strings and heavy percussion. The more relaxed flow of the young, skilled Rockie Fresh, a recent MMG signee, contrasts perfectly to that of the Cool Kid, while the production of J. Hill and iamLpeezy, also Chicago-based, ensures that the midwest sound shines through. Sir Michael’s Lap of Lux is set to drop on August 2nd and will kick off what should be a great month for music.
