[NEW] Eminem – Symphony In H

Eminem
Symphony In H

Some week it’s been for hip-hop huh? On Sunday Jay-Z announced a partnership with Samsung to release his next studio effort Magna Carta Holy Grail, today we received new albums from the likes of Kanye West, J. Cole, Mac Miller, and Statik Selekah, and now Eminem drops this bomb on us out of nowhere. Em had hinted at some some new music recently, but we weren’t expecting anything from him out of the blue. Although the track is only 90 seconds in length, it serves as a nice appetizer for what we hope will shape up to be a spectacular seventh studio album. Check out “Symphony In H” above, and look out for DJ Tony Touch‘s new mixtape Piecemaker 3: The Return Of The 50 MCs dropping July 9th, which will feature this song along with new cuts from artists like Raekwon, Action Bronson, Black Thought and more.

[LIST] Hip-Hop Cash Kings: The Richest Rappers

Forbes recently released a list of 2012’s hip-hop “Cash Kings,” ranking the rap world’s top earners. Snagging the #1 spot was Dr. Dre, who wrangled up a whopping $110 million — half of which can be attributed to his Beats by Dre headphone brand. The West Coast producer and emcee was joined by #2 Diddy (buoyed by his Ciroc vodka), #3 Jay-Z (his money raked in from number of places, like the Brooklyn Nets) and #4 Kanye (reaping much of the benefits from Watch The Throne). Eminem, who hasn’t exactly been a popular face for corporate endorsements and sponsorships, still placed at #9, bolstered by his music, selling more albums in the last 10 years than any artist. What are your thoughts, ninjas?

1. Dr. Dre – $110 million
2. Diddy – $45 million
3. Jay-Z – $38 million
4. Kanye West – $35 million
5. Lil Wayne – $27 million
6. Drake – $20.5 million
7. Birdman – $20 million
8. Nicki Minaj – $15.5 million
9. Eminem – $15 million
10. Ludacris – $12 million

[Hip-Hop] Slaughterhouse -Throw That (ft. Eminem)

It’s getting closer to the album release time and Shady Records rap group Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9″, and Crooked I) teamed up with Eminem to drop another leak for the fans. Now it is apparent in the rap game that when many artists go mainstream they decide to have at least one “romantic” sexy track and “Throw That” is that single for their upcoming album. With lines like, “She strips to get tips, those lips and those child bearing hips, I’ll throw this dick on you girl,” this game is as close to romance as a girl can expect from the legendary lyricists. Mixing a heavy bass T-Minus produced beat with some funny and dope lyrics, they made a certified banger that satisfies both twerkers and rap lovers alike.

You can cop this cut over at iTunes, as well as their upcoming album Welcome to: OUR HOUSE, which drops August 28th.

[Hip/Hop] Bad Meets Evil – Fast Lane (Eminem & Royce Da 5’9)

Just a couple days after Eminem & Royce Da 5’9 revealed the coming collaborate release of Bad Meets Evil, they dropped the very first single ‘Fast Lane’. Coincidence that Fast Five was also released today?

They live up to the tracks name with machine gun speed rhymes and a marching throbbing basslines. It is a decent track but I am not completely in love with it just yet, I will have to see what else is in store for us when Bad Meets Evil to drops June 14th. What you guys think?

[Hip/Hop] Lil Wayne – Drop The World ft. Eminem

lil-wayne-rebirth-official

Saw this first on Pigeons and Planes and boy this track ain’t no lullaby thats for sure. Both rappers get real, no auto tune, no bullshit. Most impressive is Eminem getting back to his roots spitting forceful and powerful rhymes. Drop The World is a dark track containing slow minimalist beats and the cloudy symphonic choruses really don’t help lighten things up.

Rebirth, if it doesn’t get delayed again, will be Lil Wayne’s “rock music” debut releasing on February 1st 2010… well not so much of a rebirth as he is still gonna include a couple of rap songs…

[Fresh New Mash-ups/Remixes] Eminem

unreleased-old-school-eminem

I was a big fan of Eminem when he first came out. The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP were certainly favorites but as time went by I just stopped listening to his music. After 2006 it all just sounded the same to me. Granted, I have not had the chance to fully review Relapse and Relapse 2 myself (actually getting good reviews). I thought it would be more deserving to post a couple of fresh mash-ups/remixes and work his been featured in.
