Florence + the Machine – Never Let Me Go (Clams Casino Remix)

It is surprising how two different styles of music can come together so perfectly. On one hand we have English indie pop band Florence & The Machine, consisting of lead singer Florence Welch whose powerful vocals still remain delicate throughout each and every song. And then you have Clams Casino, a pioneer in a hip/hop subgenre mashed with electronica and experimental sounds providing a new style between hip/hop and chillwave.

The brilliance comes with Clams Casino producing a remix of ‘Never Let Me Go’, resulting into a much more emotional and surreal experience. Hazy instrumentation as the vocals from Florence pierce through the noise providing a satisfying clarity.

That remix will appear on a limited white-vinyl “Never Let Me Go” 12″, out 4/9 on the Vinyl Factory.

[Acoustic] Florence And The Machine – Shake It Out

Florence And The Machine‘s “Shake It Out” has already gotten a lot of attention for being, essentially, made of solid gold. The track, pulled from the band’s second effort titled Ceremonials, is now being revisited by way of an acoustic version released on that album. Though it’s taken a little while to be discovered, this intimate delivery gives a new perspective to the track and changes the feel completely. Definitely a great find. Stream below:

[Video] Florence + The Machine – No Light, No Light

Florence + The Machine are known for their eccentric and dramatic videos, but the recently-revealed clip for ‘No Light, No Light’ is possibly their most flamboyant yet. Filled with religious and occult symbolism, this clip is bewitching, to say the least. The track, taken from her hit album ‘Ceremonials’, is a tale of facing up to demons, and of course features some incredible vocals from Florence herself. A visual and sonic tour de force, ‘No Light, No Light’ will leave its mark on you.

Acclaimed songstress Florence Welch (and her Machine, of course) is preparing to release her much-anticipated sophomore album, ‘Ceremonials’. Stand-out track ‘Lover To Lover’ features Welch’s mind-blowing vocals as usual, and lyrics on the sub jet of salvation mirror the heavy gospel sound of the song. ‘Lover To Lover’ has the potential to be massive, and with Florence’s ever-growing popularity, it most certainly could be.

Florence and The Machine – Shake It Out (Remix) (Feat. The Weeknd)

Will definitely have to agree with indieshuffle, while some may have anticipated this track, for me it came out of the blue. Just two weeks after Florence + the Machine announced The Weeknd’s remix of her second single “Shake It Out”, Zane Lowe debuted the track on his Radio 1 Show. The Weeknd lend their spacy and gloomy style, making this version sound much darker than the original.

“Shake It Out” will be available on iTunes Oct. 2 and Florence and The Machine sophomore album ‘Ceremonials’ will drop on Halloween.
