Florence And The Machine‘s “Shake It Out” has already gotten a lot of attention for being, essentially, made of solid gold. The track, pulled from the band’s second effort titled Ceremonials, is now being revisited by way of an acoustic version released on that album. Though it’s taken a little while to be discovered, this intimate delivery gives a new perspective to the track and changes the feel completely. Definitely a great find. Stream below:
Florence + The Machine are known for their eccentric and dramatic videos, but the recently-revealed clip for ‘No Light, No Light’ is possibly their most flamboyant yet. Filled with religious and occult symbolism, this clip is bewitching, to say the least. The track, taken from her hit album ‘Ceremonials’, is a tale of facing up to demons, and of course features some incredible vocals from Florence herself. A visual and sonic tour de force, ‘No Light, No Light’ will leave its mark on you.

Will definitely have to agree with indieshuffle, while some may have anticipated this track, for me it came out of the blue. Just two weeks after Florence + the Machine announced The Weeknd’s remix of her second single “Shake It Out”, Zane Lowe debuted the track on his Radio 1 Show. The Weeknd lend their spacy and gloomy style, making this version sound much darker than the original.
“Shake It Out” will be available on iTunes Oct. 2 and Florence and The Machine sophomore album ‘Ceremonials’ will drop on Halloween.

Florence & The Machine’s “You’ve Got The Love” has been reworked countless times, but has never gotten the proper dubstep treatment, until today. EDM producer Revolvr has really hit the spot on this one, transforming this pop classic into a sub bass laden, down-tempo tune. As the dubstep scene is overwhelmed with mid-range crank and high pitched frequencies, it is nice to see a producer getting back to the genre’s roots, focusing on space, time, and low frequency wobbles.

Lately, I’ve been completely enamored with Florence Welch, better known as Florence and the Machine. I’d always liked her, but never realized what a great talent she was. That was until I heard “Cosmic Love” and saw the video for it (which, might I add, should win some sort of lighting award). Then I knew she just had pure, raw talent. I wanted to share that song with the Music Ninja crowd, but I knew it just didn’t feel right. Luckily, I came across this excellent remix by P.E.S.T, which I think will fit in perfectly over here. Even though this remix has a nice dance beat, it still highlights Florence’s beaming vocals. It’s a crime that I didn’t recognize her talents in time to make it a point to see her Coachella performance, I hear it was one for the ages. Keep an eye on this one. Even though she’s pretty big already, I think she could reach superstar status in the future.
