[Chill] The Weeknd – Wanderlust (Snakehips Remix)

The Weeknd
Wanderlust (Snakehips Remix)

It’s been way too long since we’ve heard from Snakehips, and we’re ready to welcome them back with open arms. Just as they did with their mind-blowing remix of BANKS‘ “Warm Water,” the UK duo adds an extra oomph to their take on The Weeknd‘s “Wanderlust.” If you’ve been following the blog closely, chances are you already know we’re huge fans of everything The Weeknd touches. While we love the Kiss Land original, and the Pharrell remix that followed, this enchanting rendition may just be the best version of the single we’ve heard to date. That’s because this Snakehips remix is an altogether immersive experience, highlighted by wavy synths, smooth percussion, and crisp, warm vocals that result in a far more upbeat and lighter listen. Chances are that you’ll never hear Abel quite like this ever again, so keep this one on repeat for at least the rest of the night.

SNAKEHIPS
On & On

Get cozy on the couch and turn up this weekend gem, “On & On”. It’s a pleasing, ultra-smooth, soulful pop track, which owes much of its sparkly production work to London duo Snakehips and its silkiness to vocalist George Maple. If Maple’s name sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve spotlighted her beautiful R&B-esque vocals before — not just for her original song “Fixed”, but also for her collab with Aussie electronic artist Flume.
