[Tropical House] Noosa – Begin Again (Thero Remix)

Noosa
Begin Again (Thero Remix)

“Tropical House” seems to be the next big thing since Korean BBQ tacos. We have shared some in the past, but this may be the first time we found an artist with less than a thousand followers who destroys the style. Floridian TJ Sarda, better known as Thero, took this Noosa track and injected it with summer vibes. With the original powerful vocals combining with a new summer spin, this young artist really impressed us with his revision of “Begin Again”! You know when they say “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, with some music they should say “don’t judge an artist by their following instead”. TJ Sarda may have less than seven hundred followers, but he is one of the better artists we have heard in a while.

If you’re brainstorming up your perfect summer activity, don’t worry about it; we’ve got you covered! All you need to do is crack a cold one, eat some Korean BBQ tacos, and listen to this new Thero remix!

[Habibi House] Abu Ashley – Nado Heights

Abu Ashley
Nado Heights (Original Mix)

Just over a month ago we were shown somewhat of a new style called ‘Habibi House’. Abu Ashley combines minimal house techniques with a tribal taste, and a bit of an eastern flavor. We have always been a fan of tribal house, and we like stuff that really stands out against others. With minimal house, standing out isn’t this easiest thing to do, but this up-and-coming New Yorker had no problem. In our last post, we stated our hopes of this style creating a bit of a trend for Abu Ashley to continue, and our wishes were granted with “Nado Heights”!

This serene tune, “Nado Heights”, tells a bit of a story. Unfortunately this story is in a foreign language that we’re trying to translate. What we do gather though, is this tale is a peaceful one. “Nado Heights” has a very calming background frequency, that may just activate your pineal gland. If that were to happen, the strings and piano will take you on a spiritual journey, and the tom rolls will keep things moving.  It’s only been slightly over a month, since Abu Ashley first put us on to his incredible style, and we’ve heard he will be back soon! So stay tuned for more spiritual house tunes like “Nado Heights”.

Daktyl – Jungle Pips [TMN Premiere]

Daktyl
Jungle Pips

We’ve been following Daktyl for a while now, and we haven’t heard one mediocre track yet! His newest release, “Jungle Pips”, is on a new label You Tell Me. This new label seems to specialize in unique genres- non-existing ones especially. “Jungle Pips” consists of pitched vocals, funky stabs, a few apex breaks reminiscent of the days of jungle, and insane percussion. If this song doesn’t make you want to dance, then you must have forgotten your coffee this morning. Being one of the early releases from You Tell Me, we are excited to see what they have to come following this Daktyl release. If you can’t wait to hear them on SoundCloud, you can cop the album on beatport.

[Chill Trap] Salt Cathedral – Tease (Kodak to Graph Remix)

Salt Cathedral
Tease (Kodak to Graph Remix)

Digging through SoundCloud has become the norm for us ninjas, and when we find a gem like this we feel an inclination to share it. It’s approaching happy hour, and you probably just want to relax with a cold one. Well, we have the perfect tune to get you settled down! Hailing from Gainesville, Kodak to Graph is an artist that you won’t exactly grow to love. There is no growing to love with him; it’s something like love at first listen. This up-and-coming artist opened up for Odesza in Orlando back in May, and it was an incredibly artistic set, getting the crowd prepped for the act to follow. If you have a chance to make it out to one of the shows on his current tour, we highly recommend doing so!

Getting you ready for that coveted happy hour, this remix of “Tease” is soothing, and will pair greatly with your choice beverage. Salt Cathedral‘s original version was already an all around beautiful song, but Kodak to Graph intensified the beauty with funk stabs, colorful chords, distorted bass, and more. One thing we especially enjoyed was the vocal chops on the second half of this “Tease” remix.

Equally as artistic as his live performance, Kodak to Graph‘s “Tease” remix will have you swaying your entire body to the groovy melodies. In fact, it may even sway your body down to the beach for a piña colada. Whatever you’re drinking on tonight, this tune will help cool you down!

DVNK SINATRV – IBGM [TMN PREMIERE]

DVNK SINΛTRV
IBGM

Remember our posts about the Orlando duo dominating the Jersey Club scene, Vices? Well one of the producers from Vices has another duo, DVNK SINATRV, and they have been getting recognition from artists like Diplo. I’m not too much of an early riser; I typically wake up around two in the afternoon, so when I wake up, I like to get hype to some bangers to get the blood flowing. This track will get your head banging, and you might even create a new viral dance move to it. Make sure that you follow them on soundcloud and facebook, because first and foremost their music is dope, but they do some cool give-aways now and again.

Drop It Like It's Hot (Tim Gunter Remix)

In my eyes, it’s pretty hard to remix such an anthem track like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and do an amazing job. Not only did Tim Gunter do a great job, but he caught the attention of folks at Diplo & Friends- specifically Benzi. With a heavy brass section for the lead, and a fat 808 bass, this song will have you dropping it like it’s on fire. I typically don’t post anything except chill stuff, but how can I pass up Tim Gunter’s remix of “Drop It Like It’s Hot”. If you have a burning desire to drop it, then this Tim Gunter remix will help!

[Chill Trap] Zack The Lad – Mek Dem (Rvdical The Kid Version)

Zack The Lad
Mek Dem (Rvdical The Kid Version)

Rvdical The Kid provides us with an ethereal trap flip of Zack The Lad‘s “Mek Dem”. I have been seeing a bit of buzz about Zack The Lad lately, and rumors tell that it’s an alias of the dubstep producer Trolley Snatcha. Not sure if Trolley was going for a rebranding, or if he’s been feeling chill stuff lately. Whatever the situation may be, we’re loving it. Rvdical The Kid is a favorite among the Flow-Fi collective, and the stutters on this track remind me a bit of his Flow-Fi fam P A T H. Originally from Cotonou, Benin (West Africa,) and currently located out of Maryland- Rvdical The Kid is an international mad man. I took a moment to chat with him, and asked him what inspires him to remix a song. “When it comes to remixes, what inspires me the most is when I completely understand where the artist was going with the song. So a remix for me is like… ‘why don’t we go this way instead?'” He definitely brought a whole knew light to “Mek Dem”, and I am loving the glitchy stuttered approach!
