NYC-based duo Disco Fries are back with some serious fire. have put their spin on Steve Madden/5Towns Records’ signee Harlee’sVenom.” Through their colorful rendition, they create an intoxicating and upbeat version of the ethereal ballad.

For those unfamiliar, Harlee has quickly become a buzzing and dynamic pop act. Kicking off her music career with the single “Holding On,” she followed it up with “Venom,” a hit that took off soaring the minute it went live.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Disco Fries, who are widely recognized for bridging the gap between mainstream and EDM, gravitated towards Harlee’s single. Taking their easily-digestible yet versatile sound, Disco Fries put a seemingly effortless, jubilant spin on the powerful ballad while still complimenting Harlee’s impressive vocal range. Australian producer Kendl continues to march towards the release of his EP, Colours. The second single “Holding On” brings us one step closer to the full project, but will leave us satisfied in the mean time. The collaboration with Tiger Darrow is a fascinating piece of music.

The dreamy original may be our favorite Kendl track yet. It is beautiful beyond measure and will captivate any listener whose ears engage with it. Tiger Darrow had an absolutely brilliant vocal performance over an instrumental that could have held its weight in being a good track on its own. Not only do we get some Tourist, but we also get Josef Salvat and Niia on his latest single, “Holding On.” Available for pre-order, “Holding On” has some potential to do wonders on the charts, as it’s already nearing 300,000 plays–we can only imagine where the pre-sales are at.

The collaborators’ future bass work is infused with a little pop, making for an extremely fun aural experience. Polydor is releasing this track, which was the hottest record on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 on March 26th. TOURIST came up on some gold when he was working on this treasure and it’ll be available on May 24th. In the mean time, stream it and mark down in your Coachella notes that TOURIST is playing.
