[SURPRISE] MEGA EPIC GIANT MIXTAPE OF ELECTRO DANCE PARTY SONGS 2009-2010 (80 MP3’S)

WHAT ARE WE CELEBRATING? Just the fact that you (the reader) are so AWESOME! Seriously, we try to do our best to bring you some of the best songs we can find, but it is truely our fans and readers that make us keep pushing a little harder every day.

I, Blas Yaselli, founder/Main editor of The Music Ninja recently moved to a new place a couple of weeks ago, that and working full time at my day job got me really distracted from my music blogging duties. With all that behind me now, I present to you:

THE MEGA EPIC ELECTRO/DANCE/PARTY COLLECTIONS OF ALL TIME!

80 Songs Download Zip File Here (+700mb)

Inspired by the fact that I wanted to be a walking/mobile Music Ninja, I came up with the perfect collection of songs to put in your ipod/iphone/phone and totally kick out any lame DJ/Friend playing ugly songs from Ke$ha. Originally I had come up with an awesome ordered list but I had some iTunes problems and was unable to do so.. so just put this bad boy on shuffle and you should be set.

Here are 80 of the best electro/dance songs we blogged about in 2009-2010

Download Zip

Tracklist will be released soon.

And just for fun, I have also included this small rhyme LMFAO put together for us when we interviewed them last year.

[Indie/British] Spring Offensive – Every Coin

I absolutely love bands with singers that sing with their accents. To me, that makes the band fall into a category of musicians who embrace themselves and their true voices. The Spring Offensive DEFINITELY fall into that category. This indie-rock band, hailing from Oxford, applies their own unique take to music formulas and creates a desperate, grasping beat that, with beautiful drum work and emotional vocals, builds to a wall of choral melody in “Every Coin”. Definitely check out the rest of “Pull Us Apart” and while you’re at it, prepare for their FREE mini-release available Aug. 20th.

[Dubstep] The Postal Service – The District Sleeps Alone (Club Seal’s Dubstep Remix)

It is 2am and I am wrapping up the day cleaning the apartment full of beer bottle caps and this relaxing gift arriving at my inbox could not have come at a more perfect moment. Relaxing and subtly aggressive, this dubstep track from Canadian dj Club Seal gives tribute to such a great ol’ song while still giving it a modern wobbling face lift. For those of you lucky to hear this while you are about to wrap your day, this will place you in the perfect mood to go to sleep.

[Fresh] Roots Manuva Butterfly Crab Walk ft Riddla

Roots Manuva is somewhat of a legend in certain circles, having first released an album in 1999. He also appeared on Gorrilaz sophomore LP: Demon Days. The South London-born rapper released his last album in 2008, and Butterfly Crab Walk seems to be a lead-up to a newer LP.

I’m going to be honest here: I have no idea what this song is about.

Drenched in reverb and delay, Butterfly Crab Walk is a great track heavily influenced by dub. I’m also 90% sure he says “bubble bath” at some point in the track, which makes the track that much better.
Intelligiability aside, the track has incredible bass groove to it, and a catchy chorus that makes me remiss that summer is almost over. I’d love more tracks like this to play whilst sitting poolside.

[Hip/Hop] J. Cole – Premeditated Murder + Blow Up

J.Cole was signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation around the same time Drake inked a deal with Young Money. Cole has been much quieter in the months since, diligently working towards his first album and releasing occasional leaks.

Premeditated Murder is based around an instrumental that would have felt right at home on Reasonable Doubt; lush, but understated like Cole himself. The lyrics describe the Fayetteville-born rapper’s current mindset– one of great expectations but equal uncertainty. He is pensively penning an album that already has a lot of hype around it.

Premeditated Murder is a decent track with a great feel and lyric, but it’s far from being “single material”. We understand J.Cole’s brilliance and level of depth, but he’ll have to come out with something stunning for his October release. If Lights Please is any indication of his upcoming tracks, we have a lot to look forward to. Keep meditating Cole, great things are expected.

[British Indie Pop] King Charles – Love Lust

Within the first ten seconds of King Charles’ “Love Lust”, it was stuck in my head. To be honest, I’d never even heard of him until given this assignment, but he’s definitely a musical gem to be found. Not much can really be ascertained about the electro-rock wonder with the exception that he appeared one day in the East London music scene, and that he’s been well received at his few live appearances in the UK. Definitely be on the lookout for King Charles to blow up because his music, like love, will set your soul on fire…

King Charles is currently working on his debut album which is due for release later in 2010.

[Electro] Clockwork – Airflow (Valerna Remix)

Clockwork’s new single Airflow is just around the corner (Dropping in August 14th) featuring remixes by John Roman, Figure, and Sick Boy. Included to this list of producers is also Hollywood based producer Valerna who aside from giving the track an array of more melodic elements and structural edits, he has also improved the intro with an african style drum loop. Saw this at Chemical Jump.
