Electronic producers have finally noticed her seductive vocals and are now jumping on remixing her work (We featured PatrickReza Dubstep Remix of Blue Jeans yesterday). Today, James Woon, son of Celtic folk singer Mae McKenna and accomplished songwriter/producer not only created an r&b sounding rendition infused with electronic elements, but went as far as pitch altering her voice. This hypnotic changes gives the once somber original some uplifting qualities, although the underline dark tone has gone untampered. A unique and wildly experimental delight.

A thoroughly modern pop star with a sultry retro twist, the Brooklyn singer-songwriter takes her influences from pop culture icons such as Britney Spears and Nancy Sinatra. ‘Video Games’ is an enthralling example of del Ray (Lizzy Grant to her friends) at her most haunting, with incredible vocals and piano weaving in and out to entrance the listener. ‘Diet Mtn Dew’ is more of an upbeat pop track, with Spector-influenced production and typical girl-group handclaps.
