[Deep-House] option4 – Deep Diamonds

option4
Deep Diamonds

option4’s stock once again continues to rise behind his ever consistent, layered and soulful brand of house music. “Deep Diamonds”, option4’s latest record on fledgling house label Night Supply, reveals yet another layer of artistic prowess as the tune rides a carefully composed knife edge between old-school House, Deep-House and pure pop instrumentation. Immediately, precisely compressed kick-drums charge up the build before a brief breakdown grants its listener a tinge of breathing room, while a deeply rooted synth pcarries the entire movement into clubland. Furthermore- in what has been becoming an option4 staple- it is a spliced and reworked vocal track which ultimately steals the show, this time from Lou Vega’s 2008 house anthem “Diamond Life”. As 2013 begins to wind its way down, 2014 appears to be an absolute breakout year for the surging producer with an already steady stream of melodic dance output racking up serious plays and support from the world over; which in turn has also resulted in his being tabbed as author of the most recent mix for the almighty Discobelle Records. We recommend you give that set a rinse as well if you have the time today. “Deep Diamonds” is being released as a free download, and we can’t help but urge our dance aficionados to nab a copy. Hop to it.

[House] option4 – Late Night Drop

Late Night Drop (Original Mix)

option4 is a name which has been featured here at TMN a few times now, and for absolutely good reason. His brand of dance music has been self-described as “more house than tech, more deep than disco” and we couldn’t have coined it any better ourselves. “Late Night Drop”, the latest effort from the budding producer, certainly flashes influence from each of those aforementioned electronic genres, relying on a distinct set of synths to wind itself into afterhours party territory but more than enough pop sensibility to crossover to a multitude of listeners. That signature option4 bounce is all still there, but this time is cleverly dispatched amongst a sea of dark, luscious pads and shuffling hi-hats for a deeper groove and another glimpse into the diversity of his glowing production standard. “Late Night Drop” is being given away as a free digital download through Night Supply Records, so be sure to grab your copy here and be on the lookout for more option4 tunes in the near future, Ninjas.

[House] option4 – Street Love

Street Love (Original Mix)

While Colorado and more specifically the city of Denver has become somewhat of a haven for the more aggressive electronic genres, a definite paradigm shift towards the underground house movement has begun to spring up within the last few years thanks in part to artists like option4. The “deeper than disco and more soulful than house” producer has been constantly upping a savvy set of production chops and while we have been quite fond of option4’s last few releases including “All the Girls” and a moving remix of Two Door Cinema Club’s “Handshake” , his newest cut, “Street Love” is by far the most pleasing to our set of Ninja ears. “Street Love” bridges an utterly catchy gap between Deep, Tech and Disco House as well as an R&B sample from Lloyd’s classic club hit “Get It Shawty” and a little sprinkling of gangster sparkle for good measure which all result in a soulful dance tune fit for a sweaty dance floor. As a bonus for our TMN fam, the track is being offered up for free through newly minted house label Night Supply, so be sure to add this one to your download to-do list. Happy Hump-Day!

[House] option4 – All the Girls

All The Girls
option4 (Original Mix) FREE DL

House maven option4 has been seeing his stock rise both locally, nationally and internationally on the heels of an ever-burgeoning and soulful catalogue. Today, the Denver based producer has lit up our ears again with another club-centric, peak-hour original tune “All the Girls” out on Night Supply Records. “All the Girls” takes its listener on a sonically textured journey, employing a swinging house beat, beautifully rendered synth line and rhythmically dominating pads culminating in an effort sure to flood dance-floors all across the world. Wrapping this Deep-House gem up in a nice and tidy little bow was a seemingly superlative chopped and spliced vocal sample from another more straight forward club anthem- N.E.R.D.’s “Everyone Nose”. This one is sure to induce a healthy dose of twerkage from our TMN contingent, and as an added bonus, option4 is giving away the track in exchange for the price of one Facebook “like” here. [TMN Exclusive] Two Door Cinema Club – Handshake (option4 Remix)

Handshake
2door Cinema Club (option4 Remix) **FREE DL**

Irish indie-pop duo Two Door Cinema Club have seen their stock take a considerable ascension over the last few years behind singles like “Something Good Can Work” making their way off of the blog pages and onto mainstream radio in the process. Last month, the three-piece unveiled the official music video for their single “Handshake”, and with it came a slew of remixes. Our standout favorite, and a track we received as a TMN exclusive was authored by deep, disco and house producer option4. Taking the stems and making them into a rhythmic piece of club music has been this Denver native’s modus operandi, and today the homie has done it again in the form of a polished production. option4’s remix of “Handshake” carries lead vocalist Alex Trimble’s obvious vocals and symbiotically pairs them up perfectly with his brand of deep-house club music. Furthermore a synthy organ drives the whole engine, feeling like Wolfgang Amadeus himself was smashing thirteen keys at once whilst not once letting your hips and head stop kicking to the harmonious beat. As a treat to our TMN contingent, we and option4 agreed to give the track away as a free download. We hope and expect to hear this one played out a few times this weekend, so take a copy for yourself while we’re all here.

[Deep/Tech House] option4, Keepers, Need & Necessity – Night x Night Vol. 1 EP

Today we have a trio of club tracks from brand new Deep/Tech-House label Night Supply Records. Featuring contributions from three of Denver’s premier electronic taste-makers in the underground, Night x Night Vol. 1 was a breath of fresh air musically speaking and hopefully signals more good things to come out of our city’s club scene. option4, an artist previously featured here at TMN, sets the pace with a peak hour primed house tune “Ain’t Nothin’ Buddy”. With a vocal sample from Tupac & Snoop’s classic “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” backed by an infectious house beat fit perfectly for a packed dance floor. “Ain’t Nothin’ Buddy” definitely sets the tone for the EP, and had our attention for its entirety. Brand new Deep and Tech-House duo Keepers‘ comes in with the sophomore contribution and take us a slightly more Summery direction with “Hello”. The deep cut is supported by a warm synth line and bongo percussion before scooting into a dancefloor friendly hook which had our heads bobbing to the beat in approval. Rounding out Night x Night Vol. 1 is a tune from one of the rising House and Techno pairs not just in Denver, but on the nation wide underground scene as well. Need & Necessitys “Love On” was produced in a way earmarked to display their knowledgeable and established deep club sound, but catchy enough to warrant an approving listen from even the most casual of electronic listeners. The three track extended play was definitely a solid debut for the fledgling label, and we will be sure to bring you more of what they have to offer as it becomes available. Things get even better from the Night Supply crew as they have offered up the downloads on Facebook for the hefty price of one “like”. Do yourself a favor and head on over and grab Night x Night Vol. 1 here.
