Beautiful Heartbeat ft. Frida Sundemo (RAC Mix)
We’ve been keen to both the sounds of producer wunderkind André Allen Anjos, known nearly worldwide as RAC; and Danish Producer & DJ, MORTEN for years now. So, when their unlikely paths came careening together via this darker than normal RAC remix of MORTEN’s “Beautiful Heartbeat”, we were quick to fall for its liquid groove. A bit more of a shot to the underground house clubs than the indie-dance floors RAC’s become synonymous with over the years. Anjos’ skill in regards to experimental pop studio work has always taken stage front and center, with that analog synthesizer and drum-machine sound more often than not bound to the rather expansive RAC library; but his latest remix is fueled by much larger sounds. A driving kick-drum takes front-and-center immediately after a hollow synth lead clears just enough room for Frida Sundemo‘s haunting vocal track to wonderfully punctuate each and every passing note. RAC’s always had a way of making dance music extremely palatable to most any level of listener, and on this revision of “Beautiful Heartbeats” he’s hit the nail on the head yet again.
