[G House] Destructo, Ty Dolla $ign, iLoveMakonnen – 4 Real

Destructo
4 Real (Featuring Ty Dolla $ign & iLoveMakonnen)

Destructo just keeps taking the scene by storm. Seriously, this dude throws some of the sickest parties with anything HARD touches, and rosters that are always super on point. His lineups always do a great job of meshing a number of different genres, and that’s exactly what he’s done in his latest track release, “4 Real.”

When the song first started we weren’t sure what to expect—it didn’t show any signs of being an electronic track per se, but it’s 2016 y’all. Ty Dolla $ign blesses us with his dreamy vocals and iLoveMakonnen provides the hype, and a few seconds later Destructo starts to tease us with his melodic tones, which lets us know that this will most definitely be an electronic track. This all builds into what might be one of the more unexpected drops we’ve heard in a while—a tech house wonderland filled with a sped up take on the quintessential hip hop sample (aka G House 2.0). The end product is an impressive and well-done fusion of two entirely different genres, something that we’ve seen Destructo do before and hope he continues to do as long as he’s making music.

[Vinyl Giveaway] Warren G – Regulate…G Funk Era (Album Reissue + Remixes)

Warren G
Regulate (Destructo & Wax Motif Remix)

Warren G‘s Regulate…G Funk Era album has stood the test of time as a project that helped defined a whole genre along with classics like Dr. Dre‘s The Chronic and Snoop Dogg‘s Dogystyle. Although G-Funk’s prime has passed, it has had a lasting impact not only in hip-hop introducing melodious flows and funky production but also across genres even inspiring the inception of G-House. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the multi-platinum selling classic, Def Jam/Universal put together a re-issue of Regulate…G Funk Era that features 3 EDM remixes of its smooth, timeless title track. It’s only fitting that one of the remixes comes from Australian trap-leaning producer Wax Motif and LA’s own Destructo, who’s recent West Coast EP updates the classic sounds of his home coast. Give Wax and Destructo’s dope take on “Regulate,” which strikes a perfect balance between the original and hard-hitting electronic elements, above.

We’re excited to be giving away a Vinyl and CD of the reissue including the full original album and the remix above along with two more from Jaux and Photek. Enter your email below to enter! We will be accepting participants through next Thursday, 12/18, and the winner will be notified via email the morning of 12/19. If you can’t wait, though, you can also purchase the vinyl/CD/digital version now here.

Destructo feat Problem
Dare You 2 Move (Shiba San Remix)

Less than a week after unleashing the full version of  his epic “I Remember” re-work, Parisian G-House master, Shiba San, brings us yet another club-ready remix this time reimagining Destructo and Problem‘s already explosive “Dare You 2 Move.” In signature Shiba fashion, the rapidly rising producer strips the original down drawing attention to an enormous bass line while sprinkling Problem’s strategically through out. This cut exemplifies what makes Shiba San such a potent, high-energy performer. Turn your speakers all the way up and see for yourself above.

“Dare You 2 Move” is the most recent single off Destructo’s upcoming West Coast EP, which is due out on November 24th and can be pre-ordered here. Shiba San’s remix will be featured on the official remix EP for that project, out on December 9th.
